Oh, you won’t believe what Oregon football head coach Dan Lanning just said! He was on The Zach Gelb Show last week, and he made it pretty clear that he’s not looking to jump to the NFL anytime soon.
With three head coaching positions open in the pros right now, Zach asked him if he’s ever thought about coaching in the NFL. And honestly, Lanning’s response was so reassuring for all the Oregon fans out there. He said, “It used to be a goal of mine. At this point, everybody can realize that I’m not going anywhere.” How great is that?
He went on to explain how much he loves Oregon, saying, “I’ve got three young boys that love Eugene. We have a lot of unfinished business that we hope to handle, and I’m enjoying the ride.” Sounds like he’s really settled in and committed to the Ducks.
Speaking of that “unfinished business,” they’ve got a huge game coming up against Ohio State at the Rose Bowl on January 1, 2025. Remember, the Ducks narrowly beat the Buckeyes earlier this season 32-31, so they’ll definitely be looking to keep that momentum going. The game kicks off at 2 p.m. PST and will be on ESPN, so mark your calendars
